Vapor

Were time to stop its constant flow

Rain not drop and wind not blow.

My heart may stop its aggressive beating.

So I can find peace watching flowers not grow.

Alas, the clock ticks go on, never ceasing.

No man can stop the tide from retreating.

Weeks go by, then months, then years.

Every small second is precious and fleeting.

Feel the moments that end with tears

Face the dragons that you fear

This life goes by like a mist; a vapor.

Focus on now, there’s a reason you’re here.

Take the best moments and put them on paper

So others can read and learn from them later

Today you’re alive, take a breath, do a caper

Know you are loved, and you have a creator.
